The Langhe are an historic area of Piedmont,
which includes the provinces of Cuneo, Asti
and Alessandria. The territory is very
irregular, characterized by hills defined by
the rivers Tanaro Belbo and Bormida; the
irregular trend land features the scenery
with a succession of ridges as far as the eye
can see.
In the past it was exclusively an agricultural
and poor area, while with the advent of
tourism and the preservation of traditional
products, Langhe have became the green

cradle of Piedmont.
Wise ancestors were able to played out the
land passing down unique specialty culinary,
great wines (Barolo, Dolcetto, Barbera,
Moscato, Brachetto), white truffles, the
Tonda Gentile hazelnut, cheese, mushrooms,
etc... But Langhe are not only food and
wine, the hills structure has stimulated the
birth of an astonishing number of
characteristic villages with well-preserved
historical centers where you can visit a large
number of castles.
